Yahoo has changed the way they incorporate Yahoo Answers into their mainstream search results by adding the best answers as chosen by users into the bottom of many search results.

For example a search for Pumpkin Pie Recipes yields the top 3 answers to that question at the bottom of the search results. However Yahoo has yet to integrate their own Food vertical engine into the search results in any form.

Obviously there are many possibilities here for Yahoo in providing more robust search results with all the resources they have available. Look for testing along those lines in the future as they are clearly not making use of everything they could. For instance, this query alone produces 18 advertiser-supported recipes available in Yahoo Food—which brings us to our next topic.
