Google has released a customised version of Microsoft's Internet Explorer 7 browser that has its, rather than Microsoft's, search tool as the default.
Google's has also added its Google Toolbar and put Google as the homepage.. Microsoft Group Program manager Tony Chor said that Google and other companies - including Yahoo and USAToday.com - are able to build customised versions of Explorer 7 by using the Internet Explorer Administration Kit. Microsoft released the toolkit so developers could customise the browser, as well as provide companies with help to configure and deploy the browser through the enterprise. Microsoft released Explorer 7 on 18 October. It comes pre-installed with Windows Vista, which is currently available in full release only to business users and will be available to consumers on 30 January.
