How do I go about creating an A record?

If you have just purchased a domain with us then you will already have an A record.

If you have been told to set one up then you can do this from within your control panel on Domainmonster.com (www.domainmonster.com/members/). Choose the domain from the box in the top-right and click 'manage'.

In the control panel that is shown, select the "Manage DNS" option. Here you will find your DNS for the domain. You will probably want to alter the one that is already there, instead of adding one. If you scroll down you will find the section for A records. You can simply type over one that is there, or remove it.

You can create an A record by filling out the form at the top: put the hostname (leave blank, or use 'www') and then the IP address to use.
