Default Hostnames

I've noticed on occasions that if I mistype a hostname e.g type 'wwww.' instead of 'www.' I still manage to find the page I was searching for. How can I make sure the same happens when finding my own site?

I think you can do this by using an A record in you domains DNS settings. You just point the wwww to the same IP address as www. There maybe other ways of doing it but I think this is the standard.

Yeah, that's the best way of doing it. You can also use a CNAME to point wwww to www.mysite.com, but its a touch slower.

It's worth setting up ww.mysite.com. I also like using w3.mysite.com
