Default Domain Appraisals

Can anyone give me any tips on how best to price up a domain for sale?

I know that .coms are still the more desirable tld and that the length of domain can be a factor, but are there any factors that I should look for? Or is there a site that will appraise sites for free?

I'm not aware of any sites that will do this for you. Anyone else have any suggestions???

As you say the length of the domain, other factors will be what the domain relates to, and how popular the phrase is or relation to a brand or product.

Ok, thanks for replying. I might have to look to see if there's anything on the net. Thanks anyway.

Default Domain Appraisals

There a number of companies that offer domain appraisals for a fee, personal opion it that it's not really worth paying for an appraisal. One common way is to post your domain on a forum and ask other members for their suggestions.

If you would you can PM me with the domain and I can give you a ball park figure to work from if you’re thinking of advertising it for sale.

Whilst you are on the topic of appraisals I stumbled across another forum where people have been giving what they think of certain names and the reason for the price, based upon what I read, it seems fairley straight forward to give an accurate price for the domains we all own. They seem to make valid points from what I have seen so far.

There are some quite good posters on that forum by the look of it. Its tempting to take it up as a profession! I wonder how much you could make on some .co.uk domains.
