We will contact on your several occasions regarding the renewal of your domain, the first being 30 days prier to the renewal date, if your domain is set to auto-renew we will confirm the date that we will attempt to renew your domain.
If you would like to renew your domain manually, this can be done from your control panel at domainmonster.com by selecting "Renew Expiring Domains", all domains that are due for renewal with the next 6 months will be displayed. Simply select the relevant domain and complete the checkout process. |

Maybe it's because they don't want domains to go unused? Apparently a massive proportion of .eu domains are undeveloped so if those expire because people aren't selling them then it might improve the situation.

Often they seem to have this rule on new TLDs like .mobi. I think you're probably right that they don't want people to register them and then forget about them because it decreases the value of the domains and the respect people have for them. .coms are running out so I guess they want other domains to seem more popular. Mindyou, .mobi is kind of unique so I don't know what the problem is, and it's run by an independent company so you'd think they'd want you to spend your money.
