The registry for the new .asia domain, DotAsia, has agreed to ban domains which are repeatedly registered for use as phishing sites (websites which fraudulently attempt to farm visitors' personal details by masquerading as official well-known bank or shopping websites). This is unusual, as registries have not in the past taken this sort of drastic action, but the hope is that it will help to keep the new TLD relatively fraud-free.
