.Asia TLD Launched for Governments and Businesses
The long-awaited .Asia TLD has finally been launched for governments and businesses with registered trademarks to purchase. Unlike other TLDs, .Asia domains are assigned not on a first-come, first-served basis, but on the merit of the applications received by DotAsia for the registration of a particular domain. The TLD will not be available for public registration until February 2008.
