Originally for all UK domains Nominet did send out a certificate of ownership, the only real value to this was the change of ownership form on the reverse. Nominet now send out a letter to the registered owner which contains a security code, this letter looks very similar to a pin code letter that your bank would send to you.

With the security code you can login directly to Nominet to view all the registration details of your domain and to also print of any necessary forms you may require.

From our self's you will receive confirmation of your order via email and a VAT invoice which is located in your control panel within the member’s area.

Nominet no longer issue certificates directly, upon registration they send out a security code that allows you to login directly to review the registration details and print of all official documentation.

If you don't have the security code you can request it from Nominet directly via www.nic.uk

Will I get a hard copy of the certificate or will it be e-mailed to me?

There is an option to have it emailed or printed off.

When I registered my first Domain (a few years ago) I received a posted certificate from Nominet, which was nice.

Nowadays, when registering Domains through DomainMonster.com i receive follow-up E-Mail confirmations from Nominet only on the odd occasion - not following EVERY Domain that I have purchased!
