When buying a domain name, how secure are my details whilst the transaction is going through over the internet?

You can always tell if your entering personal information into a secure location other than https, you will see a secure padlock in the bottom right of the browser task bar which you should be able to click on the view details of the secure certificate used.

Also if you’re using the latest version of IE or Firefox the address bar will change colour to show you’re in a secure location.

Don't ever enter bank or card details into a non secure location, if a site asks you to do so then ask your self why!!!
