Are domain's automatically locked once bought by a person or is this something that has to be additionally added at an extra cost?

Hi Suzanne, at Domainmonster.com locking is a free service that you can use on .COM/.NET/.ORG/.BIZ/.INFO domains. We do not automatically lock them, but you can easily update this from your control panel. Log in on Domainmonster.com, choose the domain you want to lock, the pick the "Locking" menu option. Check the box and update, and it will be locked - stopping any unwanted transfer requests (and nameserver updates for .ORGs).
