Default Moving Domains

I've found a Domain I would like to buy, but it's owned by another company, would you be able to get it for me, so I can have all my Domain's with you ?

Thanks
JCB

You'd have to either buy the domain from the existing owner, or you could place a back order and wait for the domain to expire at which point the back order will kick in and attempt to register the domain for you. You can back order through domainmonster.com

If you’re buying a registered domain from an individual or company, you will need to transfer it from the current owners account / registrar to your own account to allow you to manage the domain and update the registration details.

If the domain is a .uk domain you just need to request that the IPS TAG for the domain is released to "MESH".

For any other extension you as the receiving registrar we / you will need to apply to transfer the domain, you need to make sure that either the admin email contact for the domain is updated to an address you have access to or the current contact will accept the release request. Depending on the registrar you may need to know the domain auth-code this can only be gained from the current registrar upon request.

What's an auth-code, I've not come across one of these before?

Every global domain such as a .com when registered is assigned an auth-code by the registrar, when transferring a domain between registrars you will need to know the auth-code in order to complete the transfer.

You can obtain the auth-code from the current registrar upon request or which will always be email to the admin email contact for the domain or from you customer control panel. (This is dependent on the registrar)

Once you receive the auth code, does this mean you are in full possession of the domain name?

I think it's worth noting that if the back order is placed it will only work if the domain owner does renew their regestration, so if you are deperate for it now it may be best to contact them. You may have to pay quite a bit for it however.
