Doing a search for a specific Domain, I got the following message.

Invalid Domain Queried

What does that mean ?

It means Domainmonster.com can't reach that specific registrar for one reason or another. It happens very rarely, but could be due to a maintenance window for one of the registries or something like that...and very occasionally an issue they may have.

We choose not to publish all the different maintenance windows as there are so many and some so brief, so we just capture any problems and don't allow you to register during that period! Its unheard of for the main registries that we register for to be down for any period of time. Even in a disaster situation, we have only ever lost them for 15 mins or so.

New domain name launches..eg .mobi or .eu...now thats a whole other ball game. The whole world is focused on their servers and infrastructures and to date it ALWAYS goes wrong and they fall over in some way or just become incredibly slow to respond, to the point of failover. Only ever for the first few hours though.
